Terms of Service

By accessing or using Talory at talory.io (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service.

Talory is an AI-powered resume tailoring platform. The Service allows users to:

• Tailor their resume to specific job descriptions using AI
• Generate AI-written cover letters
• Draft outreach emails to hiring managers
• Search for job listings and tailor their resume to multiple roles
• Export tailored documents as PDF

The Service uses Anthropic's Claude AI models to process and rewrite resume content. AI-generated output is provided as a starting point and should be reviewed by you before use.

You must create an account to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration and to keep your account information up to date.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@talory.io if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement.

Talory offers a free tier and paid subscription plans (Starter, Pro, and Expert). Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe.

Free tier: Includes 1 resume tailoring at no cost. No credit card required.

Paid plans: Billed monthly at the rate shown at the time of purchase. Plans auto-renew each month unless cancelled.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then. We do not offer pro-rated refunds for unused time.

Refunds: All sales are final. If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from using the Service, contact us at hello@talory.io within 7 days and we will review your case.

Price changes: We may change subscription prices with 30 days' notice. Your current billing rate will not change mid-cycle.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information in resumes or job applications
• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or extract our AI models or systems
• Use the Service to generate content that is discriminatory, harassing, or harmful
• Circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or access controls
• Share your account credentials or resell access to the Service
• Use automated scripts or bots to access the Service without our written consent

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without refund.

You retain ownership of all content you submit to the Service, including your resume, job descriptions, and personal information.

By using the Service, you grant Talory a limited, non-exclusive license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not use your content to train AI models or share it with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit any content you provide, and that doing so does not violate any third-party rights.

The Service produces AI-generated resume content, cover letters, and emails. You acknowledge that:

• AI output may contain errors, inaccuracies, or content that does not reflect your actual experience
• You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-generated content before using it
• Submitting inaccurate or fabricated information in job applications may have legal and professional consequences for which Talory is not liable
• AI output quality varies by input quality — more detailed resumes and job descriptions produce better results

The Service, including its design, software, trademarks, and content (excluding user-submitted content), is owned by Talory and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose. We do not guarantee that using the Service will result in job interviews, employment offers, or any other outcome.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TALORY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 3 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time by contacting us at hello@talory.io.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if required by law.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will continue to apply.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.
