Privacy Policy

Talory ("we", "us", or "our") operates talory.io (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information about you when you use our Service.

By using Talory, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Account information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and a hashed (never plain-text) password.

Resume content: You may paste or upload your resume. This content is sent to our AI pipeline to tailor it to job descriptions you provide. We store the tailored output and associated metadata (job title, company, keyword scores) in your history.

Job descriptions: Job descriptions you paste or that we scrape at your request are used solely to tailor your resume and are not stored independently.

Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card number or full payment details. We receive a Stripe customer ID and subscription ID to track your plan status.

Usage data: We collect basic usage data such as the number of tailorings performed, timestamps, and error logs. We do not use third-party analytics trackers.

Cookies: We use a single session cookie (resumeai_token) to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Service
• Tailor your resume using AI models (Anthropic Claude)
• Send transactional emails (email verification, account notifications)
• Process payments and manage your subscription via Stripe
• Enforce usage limits based on your plan
• Respond to support requests and communicate with you
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your resume content to train AI models.

Resume tailoring is powered by Anthropic's Claude API. Your resume text and job descriptions are sent to Anthropic's servers for processing. Anthropic's privacy policy governs how they handle API inputs. We do not share your name, email, or account information with Anthropic — only the text content needed for tailoring.

We do not use your resume or job description content to train our own models or any third-party models.

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Neon (neon.tech), a SOC 2-compliant cloud database provider. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text.

We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS, secure cookies, and JWT-based authentication. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

We retain your account data and tailoring history for as long as your account is active. You may delete individual tailoring records at any time from your dashboard history. To delete your full account, contact us at hello@talory.io.

We use the following third-party services to operate Talory:

• Anthropic (Claude API) — AI resume tailoring
• Stripe — Payment processing and subscription management
• Resend — Transactional email delivery
• Neon — Database hosting
• Vercel — Application hosting
• Brave Search API — Job search functionality

Each of these providers has their own privacy policy governing their data handling.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format
• Objection: Object to certain types of processing

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us immediately at hello@talory.io and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
